Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Central Scheduler Associate to join our team at Greater Mental Health of New York. As a Central Scheduler Associate, you will play a critical role in facilitating timely access to our mental health services, ensuring seamless communication between clients, providers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Answer and triage calls for outpatient clinic services, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely access to our services.
  2. Record, track, and document all incoming referrals and inquiries, maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.
  3. Collect key information required for scheduling and verification of insurance eligibility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Maintain daily and monthly statistical records and summaries, providing reports as needed on activity.
  5. Obtain clinical records and discharge summaries for existing Greater Mental Health clients, as needed.
  6. Close client records of clients who no longer desire our services.
  7. Educate potential referrals on our different clinic services.
  8. Schedule/reschedule appointments.
  9. Obtain and review client consent.
  10. Provide coverage when needed to the Central Scheduler, Front Desk, and/or administrative team.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma/GED/TASC or equivalent.
  2. Computer literacy skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and understanding of office procedures.
  3. Spanish language fluency is required.
  4. Valid Driver's License preferred.
