Senior Chef

Job Title: Cook

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our team at Viva Senior Living. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents, including soups, sauces, and entrees.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Order and receive food and supplies, and store them properly.
• Participate in menu planning and preparation, and assist with special events and functions.
• Work collaboratively with the food and beverage team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
