Job Description: As the Retail Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail sales operation, including staff management, inventory control, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Your leadership and strategic vision will be key to achieving the store's sales goals and ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring smooth and efficient store performance.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of budtenders and retail staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Michigan state cannabis regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store revenue goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, preparing reports and making data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to develop and execute store promotions and events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and industry partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and staff development.
  • In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, industry trends, and Michigan's cannabis regulations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with retail management software and inventory management systems.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Michigan Marijuana Handler Permit.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
