Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and organizational goals.
  • Lead daily startup meetings, weekly quality and safety meetings, and conduct daily shift handovers to disseminate critical information.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule work orders, manage exceptions, and monitor departmental budgets to achieve operational targets.
  • Implement standardized work documents and Lean Manufacturing concepts to establish clear quality standards and improve production output.
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using the 4-Step Problem-Solving methodology and A3s to solve recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and influence the resolution of high-priority problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor outputs, conduct regular visual inspections, and ensure targets are met.
  • Oversee KPI boards, analyze production data, and identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track and report production data and KPIs through KPI boards and leadership meetings.
  • Enter maintenance PSR and design issues, schedule maintenance, and escalate equipment issues as required.
  • Champion a safety culture by checking 5S, identifying risks, completing JSAs, and implementing controls to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Role model professional workplace behaviors, address conflicts, and support a positive, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage administrative processes, including team/project budgets, recruitment, induction, vacation management, performance reviews, and payroll.
  • Establish, monitor, and hold team members accountable to clear responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Foster a culture that supports the growth and development of team members by training, mentoring, and coaching Team Leads.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma.
  • One to three years of experience combining supervisory level responsibility or hands-on project management and assembly operations experience.
