Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to junior surgical technicians, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Surgical Support: Assist surgeons and nurses in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and sterilizing equipment.
  • Equipment Management: Coordinate the setup and maintenance of surgical equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly sterilized.
  • Patient Care: Assist in positioning patients on the operating table, scrubbing arms and hands, and donning gowns and gloves as needed.
  • Instrument Management: Count and verify the accuracy of surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification.
  • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
