Job Summary

MasTec Professional Services is seeking a skilled Corrosion Technician to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA area. As a Corrosion Technician, you will be responsible for performing field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field testing and data collection to determine the condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Compile and submit field data for senior staff review and analysis.
  • Develop and implement test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members, clients, and management staff to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly in cathodic protection work.
  • NACE International certification as a Corrosion Technician, CP Level 1 preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel as required for the job.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in an all-weather environment, standing or walking on uneven ground, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Physical demands may include working in tight spaces and being in high places.
