Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the rebuilding and repair processes of compactors, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses related to parts and labor.
  • Manage requests for compactor repairs and installations from major accounts, ensuring thorough execution.
  • Provide assistance to branches regarding any issues related to compactor repairs or installations.
  • Perform minor welding tasks as required.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program to uphold our standards of service and equipment integrity.
  • Maintain an inventory of standard parts in accordance with established stocking levels.
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and directives.
  • Possess and maintain the necessary tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies through technical manuals and training opportunities.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical diploma is preferred.
  • Experience in repairing compactors and similar equipment is essential.
  • Must meet safety-sensitive function criteria as per company standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records independently.
  • Capability to operate necessary vehicles and equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform all job-related tasks.
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems, particularly in high voltage environments.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform various physical activities including standing, walking, and using hands.
  • Requires continuous mental focus and visual attention.

Visual Requirements:
Includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and mechanical parts.
  • Occasional work in elevated or precarious positions.
  • Typically operates in a loud environment.
