Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to analyze and prepare project designs, calculations, and drawings for steel bridges, pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges, cast-in-place flat slabs, and other structures.
  • Effectively apply pre-established design templates and design standards.
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset and propose innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
  • May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers.
  • Responsible for managing the timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups, as well as external parties as required.
  • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings and may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
