Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support our surgical teams in a travel capacity. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Certification Requirements
  • Current BLS certification
  • CST national certification is not mandatory
  • Must be registered with the state of Washington
  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
  • Possession of a valid Washington State license at the time of application
Job Details
  • Specialty: Operating Room Technician
  • Number of Surgical Suites: 22, with potential expansion to 26 across three floors
  • Average Daily Cases: 50-65
  • Common Surgical Procedures: GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedic (including total hips and knees), Neurological, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (including Breast, HPB, Bariatric), Sports Medicine, Kidney transplants, and ENT procedures.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience in surgical scrubbing
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Experience with ENT procedures is preferred
  • Davinci XI experience is required for GYN, Urology, and General surgeries
Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 4-10 hour shifts, with variable days and start times from Monday to Friday
  • Start Times: 0630, 0900, or 1100
  • No self-scheduling; consistent start times maintained for the week
  • Later start times on Tuesdays and Fridays for in-services and team meetings
  • On-call requirement: one call per four-week schedule (weeknight or weekend)
  • Weekday on-call begins at the end of the shift until 7 AM the following morning
  • Weekend on-call is a 24-hour commitment, scheduled by management
  • Call Response Time: 30 minutes; call room is available
Unit Specific Information
  • Support from Charge Nurse and House Supervisor
  • No weekend or holiday on-call obligations
  • No floating requirements
  • Dress Code: Teal scrubs provided
  • Orientation includes HR and OR leadership, with a two-day scavenger hunt alongside a surgical tech
