We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit team at Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated patient care, including serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
