Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for electrical component specifications, development, and maintenance of electrical drawings, ensuring continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and mechanically driven industrial machinery.
  • Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and install industrial control systems.
  • Navigate, modify, and program robotic controllers.
  • Train robotics operators in daily functions, offsets, and troubleshooting of robotic work cells.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop control logic for both new and existing equipment, utilizing A-B panel-view and A-B PLC systems.
  • Install and configure variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, and temperature controls.
  • Design, layout, and wire electrical control panels according to specifications.
  • Follow diagrams, operational manuals, and engineering specifications diligently.
  • Identify problem sources by observing mechanical devices in operation and utilizing precision measuring and testing equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional and technical knowledge of robotics and industrial controls, including automation hardware/software (Allen Bradley, Rockwell Factorytalk).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a two-year Technical Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience (education, certification, and/or direct training may be considered).
  • Experience or training in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Robotics.
  • Proficiency in robotic applications and program maintenance.
  • Experience with PLC systems, AC & DC control circuits, and communications (Data-Hwy, Remote IO).
  • Background in electrical control panel design and assembly.
  • Familiarity with NEC standards is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, electrical and mechanical drawings, and pneumatic & hydraulic schematics.
  • Capability to work independently without supervision.

Working Conditions:
This role supports production across various shifts and may require assistance during off-hours for equipment repairs. Potential exposure to hazardous materials and environmental changes (heat/cold) is expected. The employee must effectively manage stress arising from production demands and interdepartmental needs while adhering to proper body mechanics.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include significant use of arms and legs, as well as overall body movement, which encompasses climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials. Regular lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds are required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role may involve sedentary work, with walking and standing required occasionally.
