Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a thorough assessment of the patient, leading to the formulation, execution, and evaluation of a care plan.
  • Administers, observes, and records therapeutic interventions and treatment protocols.
  • Effectively navigates rapidly evolving situations.
  • Engages in clinical decision-making processes.
  • Instructs patients and their families/responsible parties regarding disease processes, individual care requirements, wellness, safety considerations, etc.
  • Delegates and supervises care provided by other nursing staff and healthcare team members.
  • Adheres to standard precautions and principles of patient safety in practice.
  • Participates in the orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
  • Identifies and engages in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains professional and departmental competencies.
Required Qualifications:

Experience Necessary:

Must possess a valid NJ RN License. Approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey licensing board. Refer to the Educational/Regulatory Requirement (Department Specific) policy in the Nursing Administrative Manual.

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing skills, hospital protocols, procedures, and standards.

Continuously hones skills and stays updated on current nursing practices through ongoing education, literature, etc. Must exhibit strong communication abilities.

Must be capable of coordinating the efforts of a team of care providers.
