Food Scientist

At Talking Rain Beverage Company, we're seeking a highly skilled Food Scientist to join our Beverage Technology and Innovation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading product development and technical applications projects, driving creativity, and pushing the boundaries of innovation in the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product development and technical applications projects from benchtop to commercialization
• Develop and execute performance optimization projects, formulation enhancement, margin enhancement, quality improvement, and ingredient technology & redundancy projects
• Support new product development & innovation projects, including flavor extensions and new functional beverage development
• Work with vendors and ingredient suppliers to develop product solutions
• Identify and bring forward issues & constraints, and leverage internal & external expertise during the research and execution processes
• Develop and manage technical timelines and activities for multiple projects
• Compile, provide, and communicate data clearly in relation to moving products to the commercialization phase

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of food science principles, food manufacturing processes, and ingredient functionality
• Ability to travel 25-30% to support trials, vendor visits, co-manufacturer visits, etc.
