Job Title: Registered Nurse

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a dynamic team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and communicate with patients to assess their health conditions and address any concerns they may have.
  • Document patient information, including medical histories, current symptoms, and overall health status in detail.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring they are well-informed, comfortable, and ready for examinations or treatments.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed, carefully monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care plans for patients.
  • Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing.
  • Support in medical procedures, as needed.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and monitoring its use during procedures.
  • Collect specimens for lab testing, including blood, urine, and other necessary samples.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Supervise junior staff, including licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students, to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • CPR-BCLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification: C- required within 6 months
  • NRP Certification: Required within 6 months for C4 and L&D
  • PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatrics
