Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of contractor work efforts and project progress.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, utility owners, and project personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
- Perform material sampling and testing to guarantee quality assurance.
- Assist in the compilation of final project estimates and reports.
- Measure and verify construction dimensions to ensure accuracy in alignment and elevation.
- Observe ongoing work to confirm adherence to procedures and material specifications.
- Document and log daily construction and inspection activities for accurate reporting.
Essential Requirements:
- High School diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in roadway and/or bridge construction.
- Alternatively, a degree in Civil Engineering with relevant CEI experience.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications within the first six months of employment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Earthwork & Base Course, Asphalt Roadway, and Concrete Technician.
- Experience with AASHTO-Ware Project and ProjectWise applications.
