Job Summary

At Hackensack University Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Staff Physician Psychiatry to join our team. As a Staff Physician Psychiatry, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care for patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist house staff in clinical decision-making.
  • Oversee the care provided by Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Address issues related to patient care with nursing and other staff members.
  • Maintain accurate medical records through periodic chart assessments and regular record reviews.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities of both concurrent and retrospective nature.
  • Engage in educational programs for physician and other professional staff as determined by the Chief or Chair.
  • Serve on various standing ad hoc committees assigned by the Chair.

Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified candidate with a medical degree from a recognized medical school and completion of a residency program from an accredited medical institution. Additionally, you must be a member in good standing of Hackensack University Medical Center's Medical staff as an Attending Physician. A salary of $250,000 - $300,000 per year is estimated based on industry standards and location.

Working Conditions:

The selected candidate should be able to lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours a day.
