About the Role:

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Avera provides direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, meeting their physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to licensed nurses
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans

Requirements:

  • Certified as a nursing assistant in the State of South Dakota required within 120 days of starting this position
  • Basic Life Support Certification required within 6 months if primary work shift is a night shift position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with the healthcare team
