About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide evidence-based outpatient mental health treatment to our nation's heroes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders, including individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Apply advanced theories and techniques to a wide range of Veterans with mental health disorders.
  • Coordinate treatment planning and delivery of services that best meet the needs of patients and are based on scientific research on optimal treatment.
  • Train and supervise clinical staff/trainees, as appropriate.
  • Teach didactic seminars to psychology interns/students on an annual basis.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the medical center.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
  • Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least one year of experience as a professional psychologist equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11).
