Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in adult echocardiogram sonography is essential. Candidates must possess BLS certification (AHA) and either Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credentials. Graduates from accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs are highly preferred. Familiarity with Epic software is advantageous.
The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound examinations, providing cardiologists with critical measurements and precise images of cardiac structures. This role is vital for enabling accurate diagnoses and delivering immediate feedback on critical results to nursing and medical staff, which is crucial for timely treatment interventions.
In addition, the technologist will assist physicians during procedures, helping to mitigate potential risks associated with complex interventions, including those performed in the OR, Hybrid lab, Cath lab, and CAD. Experience with TTE (both inpatient and outpatient), TEE, structural imaging, ECMO, and Impella placement is preferred.
