About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our pediatric and behavioral health patients.

Job Summary

The COTA will work under the supervision of a primary Occupational Therapist to deliver delegated therapeutic services, including administering therapeutic treatment and engaging patients in therapeutic activities and exercise regimes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with pediatric and behavioral health patients and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver delegated therapeutic services to pediatric and behavioral health patients
  • Administer therapeutic treatment and engage patients in therapeutic activities and exercise regimes
  • Work collaboratively with the primary Occupational Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice
  • 1+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy, preferably in pediatric and behavioral health settings
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
