Job Overview

The Coffee Shop Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring delightful guest experiences by efficiently taking orders, serving beverages, and managing transactions with a friendly demeanor across various food outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests to accurately take food and beverage orders.
  • Prepare and serve customer food and beverage selections.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and actively participate in suggestive selling.
  • Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Assist with merchandising tasks, including display setup, inventory management, stocking, and pricing.
  • Handle cash transactions, operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, and complete daily financial reporting.
  • Ensure that the food and beverage outlet meets the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
  • Adhere to operational guidelines to ensure smooth daily operations of the retail outlet.
  • Support other food outlets as required.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Some High School education or equivalent.
  • Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; capable of reading and interpreting English language manuals related to safety and operations.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Desired Qualifications & Traits

  • Prior experience demonstrating excellent customer service.
  • Experience with restaurant equipment and sanitation standards.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience handling cash transactions and using Point of Sale systems.
  • Demonstrated teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Capable of sitting and/or standing for extended periods.
