About the Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. Your primary responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with accurate documentation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Move up to 49lbs, as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Schedule

The typical shifts for this role include:

Front Half Day Shift

Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. This shift can be set according to operational needs, often working Sunday to Wednesday.

Hours: Typically, this shift may start in the morning and end in the late afternoon, such as 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a half-hour break included.

Back Half Day Shift

Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. This shift often complements the Front Half Day Shift, working Wednesday to Saturday.

Hours: Like the Front Half Day shift, this shift would also occur during daytime hours, potentially from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a half-hour break.

Front Half Night Shift

Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. The days can be arranged according to needs, similar to Sunday to Wednesday.

Hours: This shift occurs during the night, potentially from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with a half-hour break.

Back Half Night Shift

Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. To complement the Front Half Night Shift, this shift might run from Wednesday to Saturday.

Hours: Like the Front Half Night shift, this shift takes place during the night, potentially from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a half-hour break.

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
    • High school or equivalent diploma.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations.
    • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
