We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our travel nurse team at Travel Nurse Across America. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
About the RoleAs a MedSurg RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, prioritizing data collection, and implementing treatments as ordered by physicians. You will also document patient findings, provide education and support to families, and participate in discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-operative patients.
- Administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Perform procedures such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you are a dedicated and compassionate RN looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience as a Medical Surgical RN
Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
