Exercise Physiologist

The incumbent will provide comprehensive care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. Key duties include:

• Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver effective and appropriate care in a safe and confidential environment.
• Assisting with patient intake by performing EKG assessments and gym orientations, as well as assisting with blood pressure readings and vital sign monitoring as needed.
• Monitoring and adjusting patient exercise progression to meet discharge standards.
• Demonstrating competency in patient care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Conducting accurate and complete documentation of patient therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members, providing leadership, and conducting oneself professionally.
• Coordinating with the RN to facilitate routine operations of the cardiac rehabilitation program.
• Developing initial exercise prescriptions for patients and ongoing assessment/adjustment throughout the recovery process.

• Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, physical education, or a related field.
• 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Rehab or a related field.
• Current certification in CT CPR and CT ACLS.

• Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification.
