About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Director to join our team at PACS Inc. As the Activities Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a vibrant activity program that caters to the interests and needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes socialization, recreation, and personal growth among residents.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that activities are aligned with resident care plans and goals.
  • Plan and execute a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and special events.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with activity programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with certification by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (ADC or ACC), preferred.
  • An occupational therapist or assistant with at least one year of experience in a nursing care facility, or
  • A person with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences with at least one year of experience in a nursing care facility, or
  • A person with at least two years of experience in social or recreational program work, with at least one year in a healthcare setting, willing to complete a training course for activity professionals.
  • Driver Requirements:
    • Must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver's license.
    • Familiarity with GPS and local driving area.
    • No traffic crimes in the last 7 years and not more than 2 moving violations or one accident in the last 3 years.
    • Ability to lift and mobilize patient weights up to 70 pounds.
    • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
