Job Description

MITRE is seeking a highly skilled Financial and Budget Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Strategy and Policy Department, you will play a critical role in providing resource management expertise to our sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality analysis and recommendations to support budget formulation and justification
  • Collaborate with senior intelligence officials to ensure critical mission requirements are funded and properly executed
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate budget and financial data to inform decision-making
  • Assess policy changes and their effect on budget requests
  • Review and analyze budget exhibits to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current polygraph
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience
  • Ability to lead a financial-related study, conduct research, and communicate results to decision-makers
  • Ability to interact with senior-level government officials in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with analysis conducted using Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or related field with a fundamental level of data analysis
