POSITION OVERVIEW:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • Valid Licensure from Wisconsin's Department of Public Instruction (or eligibility for such licensure) in all subject areas to be taught

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences, interventions, enrichment, and remediation that uphold the academic rigor of a college-preparatory institution, preparing students for higher education and meaningful careers.
  • Set high expectations for oneself and students regarding academic, behavioral, and social success.
  • Understand and adhere to all Wisconsin DPI teacher standards.
  • Collaborate with an Instructional Coach to enhance teaching practices that support the achievement of traditionally underserved students.
  • Implement best practices in pedagogy and classroom management.
  • Foster a culture of learning, respect, trust, and accountability.
  • Build trusting relationships with students and their families, involving parents in the educational process.
  • Utilize data analysis with students and the learning community to establish individual learning plans and collective goals.
  • Integrate technology into daily instructional practices.
  • Maintain openness to feedback from the learning community, embracing advice and making adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Regularly update student information systems with grades and assignments, ensuring timely communication of test results.
  • Engage in daily communication with stakeholders.
  • Supervise students, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Carmen Schools of Science and Technology.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures of Carmen Schools.
  • Maintain a current Wisconsin Teacher License, Charter License, or One-Year with Stipulations License in all subject areas taught.
