About the Role:

Soliant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in the West Palm Beach, FL area. As a School-Based Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication and creating an inclusive learning environment for students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a school setting
  • Assist in classroom instruction and activities by interpreting spoken language into sign language
  • Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with hearing impairments
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (national certification preferred) - RID or NIC Certification preferred
  • EIPA of 3.5 or greater preferred
  • Experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
