Laboratory Technician I

Veolia is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of our water and waste management services.

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to determine the presence and concentration of various substances in water and waste samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and other analytical instruments.
• Prepare and analyze samples for various tests, including pH, conductivity, and turbidity.
• Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other laboratory technicians and scientists to ensure the quality and accuracy of test results.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or biology.
• 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a water or waste management company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
