Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach dance courses to students of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and growth.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of our dance program through curriculum design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Dance.
  • OR - Master's degree in dance, physical education with a dance emphasis, or theater with dance emphasis.
  • OR - Bachelor's in either of the above AND master's degree in physical education, any life science, physiology, theater arts, kinesiology, humanities, performing arts, or music.
  • OR - Equivalent: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education AND official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units.
Working Conditions

Assignments may include teaching dance courses on campus or online. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of our dance program.
