Permitting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Permitting Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a Permitting Specialist, you will be responsible for processing permits through state and federal government agencies to bring powerlines underground. This role requires strong knowledge of regulatory and permitting programs, including Section 404 permits, Section 106 Consultation, and wetland delineations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process Environmental Resources Permits through FDEP, WMDs, and local agencies, as well as the USACE throughout Southeastern Florida.
• Coordinate with federal partners and 408 process.
• Compile applications and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Have experience with wetland delineations, wetland mitigation, wetland restoration, environmental assessments, and Section 404 permits.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience processing permits, including general permits, core NWP, and individual permits for both agencies (DEP, FDEP, Core).
• Experience with regulatory and permitting programs for state, federal, and local levels of government, including Sovereign Submerged Lands, Joint Coastal Permitting, Environmental Resource Program, and Coastal Zone Management reviews.
• Knowledge of Section 106 Consultation, wetland delineations, wetland mitigation, wetland restoration, environmental assessments, and National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) Analysis.
