We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Recreational Therapist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of therapeutic recreation principles and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals within the correctional system.

• Develop and implement individualized recreation therapy programs tailored to the specific needs of patients within a correctional environment. These programs should focus on promoting social interaction, encouraging healthy leisure activities, and facilitating reintegration into society.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including correctional counselors, primary clinicians, and other relevant staff members, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' recreational therapy needs, taking into account their physical abilities, cognitive skills, emotional well-being, and social support systems.

• Active Recreational Therapist license issued by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC).
• Minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience providing similar services within the past three years.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (with AED).
• Proficiency in English language (speaking and writing).
