Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our Magnet-designated Nursing team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a member of our team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff, ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse to provide timely and efficient support to patients
- Handle situations with a high level of integrity and compassion
- Take vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collections as needed
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide assistance with procedures
- Use basic computer and data entry skills
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of healthcare-related experience in a NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Phlebotomist, or LPN discipline
- BLS certification required by the time of hire
- Epic EMR experience a plus
