We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team at Annals of Family Medicine. Our community health center provides quality care to underserved and homeless communities in Greater Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on adults and children, including pre-employment, school, and sports physicals.
- Provide routine medical services, such as Pap smears, breast examinations, and health prevention and screening.
- Counsel patients on birth control and prescribe medications as needed.
- Document complete medical histories and provide treatment for various diseases.
- Review lab test results and diagnostic imaging, and arrange follow-up care as necessary.
- Provide health education and document referrals and follow-up care.
- Answer medical questions and provide guidance to nursing staff in the absence of the Medical Director.
- Assist in training and supervising physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and students.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and chart reviews.
- Current Medical License from the Medical Board of California.
- Medical Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. Medical school or a non-U.S. medical school with evidence of passing the FLEX examination.
- Board Certification or eligibility in a primary care specialty.
- Knowledge of the practice of medicine according to the standard of care in our community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agencies, and the public.
