Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Northern Cardinal Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing assistants to ensure high-quality patient care.
    • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Patient Care
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
    • Current BLS certification.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Exceptional leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
