About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Management Supervisor to join our team at Jewett Construction Co. as a Site Operations Coordinator, reporting directly to the General Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

  • SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SUBCONTRACTORS: Directly supervise and coordinate subcontractors, direct-hire craftspeople, and job site operations for job order contracts in accordance with Jewett's Superintendent Manual.
  • PROJECT SCOPE REVIEW: Review and provide input on project scope of work and development.
  • SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT: Assist with the establishment and maintenance of project schedules, including start, progress, and completion schedules.
  • DAILY REPORTS: Prepare and submit accurate, detailed, electronic daily reports for the project and post reports in project management software, Procore.
  • SITE SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL: Provide daily safety awareness and inspections to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel at the job sites. Conduct job site quality control checks to ensure construction and materials meet project documents and owner standards.
  • TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
    • This is a full-time position that may frequently require long hours and weekend work.
    • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of (5) five years' experience or a minimum of (10) ten years related experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor.
  • OSHA 30 Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with scheduling software, CAE, and CAD applications.
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read/write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to function well in very busy situations.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Self-starter with a team player attitude, comfortable both taking initiative and working in collaboration.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences.

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
