The Advanced Care Paramedic operates under the Medical Direction of ConvenientMD, holding a National Registry Certification. This role encompasses advanced patient assessment skills necessary for managing a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries, including airway management, intravenous therapy, and pharmacological interventions. In scenarios where a Registered Nurse is unavailable, the Advanced Care Paramedic will take the lead and collaborate with the clinical team to fulfill shared responsibilities within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient triage, including vital signs, medical history, and observational assessments. Assist in patient examinations, testing, and procedures as directed by the healthcare provider. Manage airways through nebulizer treatments, oral suctioning, and oxygen administration. Implement cardiac management techniques, including 12 Lead ECG application, CPR, and AED defibrillation. Administer medications and immunizations in accordance with the scope of practice for Urgent Care Technicians. Facilitate patient follow-ups, addressing inquiries, reporting test results, and discussing medication or therapy adjustments. Participate in training and mentoring new team members.Qualifications:
Nationally Certified Paramedic (Required in NH & MA, ME preferred). Licensed Paramedic. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification preferred; American Red Cross BLS Certification accepted. Availability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods; some bending and stooping required. Manual dexterity is essential for clinical tasks.
