Established in 2017, the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services is a collaborative initiative between Augusta University Health System and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, aiming to provide exceptional health services to justice-involved youth across 25 facilities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Guiding patient education and nursing activities while overseeing ancillary personnel.
- Fostering a welcoming environment and providing exemplary service to youth, facility staff, families, and external vendors.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid RN license in the State of Georgia.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical environment.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills; good physical and mental health; ability to work under pressure; and the ability to relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and colleagues.
- Compliance with the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
- Current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification from an accredited program.
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs, bend, reach, stoop, and remain standing or seated for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergencies (within 4 minutes) and possess normal hearing and vision, with corrective devices if necessary.
- Security clearance as mandated by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
