Job Summary

The Registered Nurse, Correctional Facility, is a critical member of the California Correctional Health Care Services team. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement nursing care for patients, including administration of medication and restorative measures ordered by a physician.
  • Perform assessment and ongoing monitoring of patients' physical and psychosocial status.
  • Provide health care within the approved parameters of the RN standardized protocols to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with the Supervising Registered Nurse II, CF, to ensure effective patient care and departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and management.

Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required for training, meetings, or other work-related activities.

Special Requirements

  • The position requires a valid CA RN license. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
