Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Retail Art Framer to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for creating a memorable framing solution for our customers' art, while building strong relationships with them and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Execute Company policies and standards, while embracing and executing personal designer by using Elevated ABC Deliver to build relationships with all customers.
  • Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time, while maintaining the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas.
  • Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they are looking for, and provide a well-merchandised and in-stock store for the customer to shop.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, while supporting shrink and safety programs.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations, and promote commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards, while acknowledging customers, helping locate product, and providing solutions.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
  • Preferred: Retail experience, experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment

Our public retail store setting is climate-controlled, with some stock rooms not being climate-controlled. Some outdoor work may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks. The Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press, and work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
