Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Southland Health and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning duties for a long-term care nursing center, including making beds, cleaning patient and bathroom areas, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture and fixtures, and collecting and removing trash.
  • Keep equipment clean and in proper operating condition, and maintain an adequate level of housekeeping supplies.
  • Work effectively with patients, family members, department heads, and fellow associates to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive working relationship.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Some knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.
