The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit.
Responsibilities- Collect and process specimens for testing.
- Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ensure the Special Procedures area is well-stocked and maintained, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Serve as a resource for Surgical Scheduling, providing accurate and timely information regarding bookings.
- Document patient-related activities thoroughly and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Stay current with available training and literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
- A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required.
- Minimum one year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Phlebotomy training is a must.
- Working knowledge of underlying principles and standards for the following entities: CDC, CMS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
