Job Title: Chart Correction Analyst

Shepherd Center is a leading healthcare provider specializing in medical treatment, research, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and other neuromuscular conditions.

We are seeking a skilled Chart Correction Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our electronic health records.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze chart correction scenarios and perform hands-on technical chart corrections to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to healthcare teams to ensure seamless chart correction processes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure timely and accurate corrections, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of medical records to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Review electronic health records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • RHIT certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a HIM environment or healthcare environment required.
  • One year of Medical Record and/or scanning experience within OnBase preferred.
  • Epic Experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Work is primarily seated but may involve walking or standing briefly.
  • Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds.
