Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the St. Cloud Area School District 742. The successful candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services to students, manage the school's Health Services Office, and work collaboratively with the Licensed School Nurse (LSN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and complex medical care to students, including supporting students in classrooms and monitoring medical needs.
  • Manage the site Health Services Office, maintaining confidentiality and reporting students with repeated symptoms or incidents of communicable disease to the LSN.
  • Assist the LSN in obtaining required verification of immunizations and maintain continual communication regarding health office occurrences or changes to student health information.
  • Accurately complete and maintain records, including services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Dispense medication and provide treatment as prescribed, including suctioning, tube feeding, checking blood pressure, catheterization, auscultation, and otoscopic exams.
  • Provide first aid as needed and handle written and verbal communications with parents and ISD 742 staff in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Preferred: Current CPR certification and minimum of two years nursing experience
  • Clerical and computer experience
Working Conditions

Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Light Work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
