Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Program Facilitator to join our team at CentraCare. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a vital role in increasing patient awareness and abilities in the area of living skills and recreation activities. You will be responsible for providing education and information on an individual or group basis, and will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to plan and implement therapeutic programming for patients ranging in age from 5 years through adult with mental health and/or chemical dependency issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement therapeutic education and activities to promote patient engagement and empowerment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and implement programming that meets the unique needs of our patients.
- Provide education and information to patients and their families on living skills and recreation activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of program materials and resources.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in therapeutic programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a human services field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of related experience assisting in running groups, program and material design required.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) initial and on-going training required and provided.
- Entry level skills and knowledge in the provision of therapeutic education and activities.
- Knowledge of medical and psychiatric diagnosis and the associated symptoms.
- Ability to teach a variety of education and creative activities.
