About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our RNA Process Development team at Innova Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing RNA oligomer processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in our gene editing platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute molecular cloning, biophysical, and analytical tools to develop next-generation gene edited therapies.
  • Develop and optimize nucleic acid ligation reactions using splint ligation methodology.
  • Design and execute ion-pairing (IP) reversed-phase (RP) chromatography methods.
  • Purify oligonucleotides using chromatography and/or preparative PAGE.
  • Design and evaluate the performance of new biophysical assays to identify and assess critical quality attributes (CQAs).
  • Manage samples and data related to gene editing platform process development.
  • Provide experimental design and executional support to team members in adjacent and related functions.
  • Actively participate and support lab maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and documentation.
  • Summarize and present data in group meetings and contribute to group discussions.
  • Author technical reports, study memos, and protocols.
Requirements
  • STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working with, storing, and analyzing purified nucleic acids and proteins.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in biological or chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a bio-related field, as well as experience with solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis, bioinformatic tools, and JMP for DoE design and analysis.
