About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Resident Assistants (RAs) at The Forum at Overland Park, a beautiful community in Overland Park, KS. As an RA, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our residents, helping them with their daily tasks and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support residents with medication, including taking medication, opening containers, and reading medication labels.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Reposition residents in bed, escort them around the community, and provide toileting and incontinent care. Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse.
  • Communicate Effectively: Observe and report on residents' health, escalating any problems efficiently and effectively. Detail daily reports to the Nurse or designated charge person at the end of the shift. Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher, focused on advancement into medical services, or similar, preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification desired (unless required by the State). Previous experience in long-term care preferred. Valid, unrestricted CNA certification or State/Local equivalent required.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills. Dedication to the medical field, especially towards working with residents. Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and on projects start to finish.
