Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced RN to provide high-quality patient care in our Labor and Delivery unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years L&D nursing experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
  • Fetal Monitoring preferred
  • CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment
  • NRP required within the first 6 months of employment
Physical Environment:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.

Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc. RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
