Role Overview

The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering operational and administrative assistance to the Operations and Transportation Departments, ensuring the smooth execution of daily activities. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing standard scheduling and creating compliant manifests.
  2. Facilitating client requests and supporting order creation.
  3. Generating bills of lading and manifests for both inbound and outbound shipments.
  4. Coordinating print support and witness scheduling for clients.
  5. Preparing, submitting, and tracking purchase orders while ensuring invoice accuracy.
  6. Maintaining communication with clients, team members, and vendors for effective coordination.
  7. Ensuring the accuracy of orders in internal systems and updating tracking reports.
  8. Generating correspondence and internal memos as required.
  9. Participating in special projects to support ongoing operational activities.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in administrative support within warehouse or manufacturing settings, or an Associate's degree in business or accounting.
  • Proficiency in data entry and manipulation using Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
