Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including extracranial and peripheral vascular exams. You will work closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including vascular exams, using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and exam results
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High school/trade or vocational school in vascular ultrasound
  • Certification/registration by ARDMS (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS) required
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVT) registration strongly preferred
  • Two years of experience in vascular ultrasound procedures preferred
  • Must hold and maintain current New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program
  • BLS Certification required at time of hire
